EMERGENT/CONVERGENT 20 x 16 x 1 1/2 April-June 2020

From time to time over the past 40+ years Greg and I have collaborated on a single work. Its been quite awhile since our last collaboration due to the fact that our styles became vastly different. During the start of the “stay home’ time period I was experimenting with some large elaborate marks to which Greg really responded to. I handed the panel to him and said “Do you want to finish it?” What has emerged from the combination of Greg’s strong design sense, vast repertoire of painting skills combined with my intense “communicator shapes’ and our shared love of vibrant color are these new works.

in Greg’s words “Beyond visual addition/subtraction, we are more accurately cross reference composing (physical processing) boldness and subtlety, movement, space, light, shadow, style, and color coding as a means of approach to a new sentence in visual language.

20x 16 x 2 inches acrylic on PVC laminated to Canvas back frame. Sides painted , wired and ready to hang.
