Illuminated Singing Garden-New Song for New Time (Full Title) Mar. 27th 2020

I have been painting from a place of hope during these unprecedented times. I find myself singing, sometimes to keep my heart uplifted and change the atmosphere in my studio. I am thinking others are doing the same in their homes.

The Gilding on this piece was done over another painting which created a beautiful relief texture in the metal. A do over as they say…kinda speaks to the moment I think.

24 x 24 x 2 inches acrylic over gilded composition gold leaf on PVC laminated to Canvas back frame. Sides painted , wired and ready to hang.  Reflective gold has a variety of characteristics and shades depending on lighting as shown in photo’s. Indoor Gold is warmer, outdoor has a deeper tone in shadow under tree..
